今日ご紹介するのは パブロ・ピカソ。 誰もが知るスペイン生まれの 美術家ですね。 ピカソが飼っていたのは ナイチンゲールと同じコキンメフクロウでした。 Today I would like to introduce Pablo Picasso. A Spanish-born artist that everyone knows. Picasso had the same Little Owl as Nightingale.  little owl Picasso love 1946年アンティーブに滞在していた時に ピカソは肖像写真家のミシェル・シマからコキンメフクロウを譲り受けた。 ピカソが制作していたアンティーブ美術館の隅で シマはそのフクロウを見つけたのだった。 ひどい状態で片方の鉤爪に怪我を負っていた。 ピカソは手当をして鉤爪には治るまで包帯を巻いていた。 フクロウは特別に用意された籠に入れられてパリまで運ばれ ピカソの家のキッチンでカナリアや鳩と一緒に生活することになった。 ******************************** 1946年ピカソはそのペットをモデルにして 椅子の上にとまるフクロウの絵を描いている。 「フクロウと3つのウニの静物画」と題された作品で、 その絵の前でフクロウを手に持ったピカソの写真が残っている。 ～「フクロウ その歴史・文化・生態」デズモンド・モリス著より～ ピカソは自分の目がフクロウに似ていると思っていたようで 自身の目の写真を切り抜いて自画像を制作したり、 フクロウを題材にたくさんの絵やデッサンを残しています。 ピカソが作品の制作に没頭する傍らで その様子を見守るコキンメフクロウの姿というのも なかなか絵になりますね。 While staying in Antibes in 1946, Picasso took over the Little Owl from portrait photographer Michel Sima. Shima found the owl in the corner of the Antibes Museum that Picasso was making. He was terribly injured on one of his claws. Picasso was treated and bandaged his claws until healed. The owl was placed in a specially prepared basket and carried to Paris to live with canaries and pigeons in the kitchen of Picasso's house. ******************************** In 1946 Picasso painted a picture of an owl perching on a chair, modeled after the pet. In the work entitled "Still Life of Owls and Three Sea Urchins", there is a picture of Picasso holding an owl in front of the painting. "Owl His History, Culture and Ecology" by Desmond Morris Picasso seemed to think that his eyes resembled an owl, so he cut out a picture of his own eyes to make his self-portrait, and left a lot of pictures and drawings on the subject of owls.
