Shitateruhime is a goddess of waka poetry, a goddess of good looks, a god of thunder, a literary skill, agriculture, medicine, and weaving. She is the daughter of Okuninushi and the wife of Ame-no-Wakahiko. Her father, Okuninushi, helped (Inaba)'s (Shiro Rabbit) and was promoting nation-building in various places. Okuninushi made nations all over the country, but the terrestrial world was very rough. Knowing this, Amaterasu lowered "Ame-no-hohi" to the ground to tell Okuninushi that he would surrender the earthly world. However, "Ame no Hohi" became a member of Okuninushi. He betrayed Amaterasu and did not contact him three years later. Amaterasu sent (AmenoWakahiko). Amaterasu gave "AmenoWakahiko" a heavenly bow and a heavenly arrow and lowered it to the ground. However, "Amenowakahiko" fell in love with Okuninushi's daughter "Shitateruhime" and got married. "Amenowakahiko" will start building a country in Mino (Gifu prefecture) together with "Shitateruhime". AmenoWakahiko did not contact Amaterasu even after eight years. Amaterasu in the Kingdom of Heaven consults with Omoikane, the god of wisdom. Omoikane sent "Kiji no Nakime" to question AmenoWakahiko on the ground. However, there was a woman on the ground who told a lie named "Amanojaku". She advises AmenoWakahiko, "This bird is ominous, so she should shoot it." And AmenoWakahiko believes that and kills the pheasant with the bow and arrow given from heaven. This arrow pierced the pheasant's chest and reached Amaterasu in the kingdom of heaven. It was Takamimusubi who picked up the arrow. He said, "If Ame-no-Wakahiko on earth fired to shoot the evil god, don't hit this arrow. But if he hits this arrow in rebellion against Amaterasu, hit this arrow and die." , Shot an arrow on the ground. "AmenoWakahiko", who had a rebellious heart, died when the arrow from heaven pierced her chest. Watching it, AmenoWakahiko's wife, Shitateruhime, cried. Her voice of her reached the kingdom of heaven. After that, Shitateruhime built a church for her husband Ame-no-Wakahiko, who was shot dead by an arrow from heaven, and sang a memorial song and mourned for eight consecutive days. Hearing Shitateruhime's cry, Shitateruhime's older brother "Ajisukitakahikone" came to her house worried. Shitateruhime thought that AmenoWakahiko had come back to life because her brother looked like her husband "AmenoWakahiko", and she clung to her and she was delighted. However, Shitateruhime's older brother "Ajisukitakahikone" was angry, "Don't mistake it for a filthy dead!", Destroyed the church, kicked Shitateruhime and left for heaven. After this, Okuninushi and his son Kotoshironushi decided to hand over the land of Izumo to Takemikazuchi. Finally, Okuninushi told Takemikazuchi, "I want another child, Takeminakata, to listen." Takeminakata, the son of Okuninushi, challenges Takemikazuchi, saying, "Let's compete with power," but he loses and runs away. Takeminakata tried to escape to Lake Suwa in Shinano no Kuni (Nagano Prefecture) with several gods from Izumo no Kuni. Shitateruhime also went to Lake Suwa in Shinano with his sister (Himenomiko). In this way, the party came to Kisogawa. Then a white rabbit came out. Shitateruhime and his younger sister (Himenomiko) decided to follow the white rabbit because it is an important god in the country of Izumo. As the two sisters proceeded for a while, an old man sat with a tired face. The two spoke to the old man. He said the old man was in a land called Mt. Tagiri, but for a long time was covered in fog and clouds, flooded and badly harvested, and he was in trouble. Then, one night in a dream, the old man was told by God to wait for the goddess to save this land. And even today, when he went to pick up bamboo in the bush as usual, there was a rare white rabbit. It was rare, so he followed rabbit, but he lost sight of it and was resting. he talked to two sisters. And he started crying, saying, "The princess you've been waiting for." Shitateruhime and her sister (Himenomiko) said, "This white rabbit is destined. Please take me to your village." The villagers who come to pick up Shitateruhime are surprised. Because the sun began to shine in the village, which had been covered with fog and clouds for a long time, and a beautiful Shitateruhime stood in the sun. The old man could understand the meaning of the name "Princess shining under the clouds" (Shitateruhime). As the blue sky between the clouds grew larger, the people who looked up at the dazzling sun prayed to the beautiful and divine princesses. The Shitateruhime sisters gave the rice they brought to the villagers little by little. People in this area, who couldn't make rice because of the lack of sunlight, were delighted with the delicious rice and begged for teaching how to grow this rice. That night, Sister Shitateruhime decided to stay here and build a country with some of her afew servants. Shitateruhime read a song in memory of her late husband, parents and brother while looking at the beautiful Milky Way. This song was called "Hinaburi". Shitateruhime said, "My father and mother are always watching over us from that shining star," and decided to end the long and painful journey. After that, the white rabbit stayed in the village for a long time, but disappeared when the full moon of autumn was reached. Shitateruhime said, "I wonder if he has returned to the moon," thanking him for the edge of the white rabbit and praying for the moon with the people. In this way, the place where they met the white rabbit came to be called "Usagida". If Shitateruhime appears in today's fortune-telling, it may be a sad day for you today. You can't help yourself, you may have trouble and you may not be able to stay in that place. Shitateruhime says. "That's why I value the power of ties, and if I see someone in need, I want them to help me." today You can be dragged into trouble by the people around you. However, even in such a case, if you can have a strong consciousness of "protecting" the person in need, it will be a calming day, forgetting the unpleasant things and reassuring.
