オオトマトヒコの兄がいます。
大山祇（オオヤマツミ）と野槌（ノズチ）の大地の精霊の神が、山と野を分担して管理するため、山の斜面を管理させるために誕生させた兄弟神です。
古代日本では、山々の山岳地帯を越えなければ文化の交流が図ることが出来ませんでした。
